Fawad Khan’s ‘The Legend Of Maula Jattt’ not releasing in Indian theatres

Directed by Bilal Lashari, ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ is an adaptation of the 1979 Pakistani film ‘Maula Jatt’. The movie, which released in Pakistan on Oct 13, is the maximum-grossing Pakistani movie of all time with box workplace returns of $10 million.

An sector insider mentioned the film’s launch was stalled due to resistance from selected sections.

“Zee Studios experienced acquired the legal rights of ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ as they were being anticipating the film to do well. But because of the resistance from certain sections, the determination was made to not release the motion picture,” he stated.

Multiplex chain PVR Cinemas had shared the India launch date of the film on its formal Instagram website page before this week but deleted it shortly following.

Rajender Singh Jyala, main programming officer, INOX Leisure Ltd, had instructed PTI final 7 days that the film would be played in Punjab and a couple theatres in Delhi in which there are Punjabi-speaking people.

Ameya Khopkar, president of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s cinema wing, said on Twitter nowadays that the film’s release has been stalled immediately after a warning supplied by the social gathering.
