Canada to impose mandatory COVID-19 tests for travelers from China

Canada on Saturday (Dec 31) claimed it will need tourists on Canadian-bound flights departing China to examination detrimental for COVID-19.

The demands, which choose effect at 12:01am ET on Thursday, use to all travelers two yrs of age and more mature arriving on flights in Canada originating from the People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong or Macao.

Travelers will be required to provide proof of a destructive COVID-19 test result, taken no more than two days just before departure, to the airline prior to boarding.

The short term measure will be in position for 30 days and be reassessed as extra facts results in being out there, the Canadian federal government claimed.

South Korea, Spain and France on Friday joined a rising checklist of countries, including the United States and India, that have imposed COVID-19 assessments for travelers from China.
