Falcons WR Batson arrested following altercation with police

ATLANTA — Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Cameron Batson was arrested by Atlanta law enforcement early Saturday early morning and faces numerous rates following allegedly remaining associated in an altercation with an officer and fleeing the scene.

In accordance to a assertion provided to The Linked Push by the Atlanta Law enforcement Office, an officer observed a pickup truck dashing and failing to sustain its lane at about 2 a.m. Saturday.

The officer stopped the auto and noticed that the driver appeared to be intoxicated. The assertion mentioned Batson resisted the attempts of the officer “and violently fought with the officer.”

The officer discharged his firearm but no just one was struck, the statement stated, and Batson returned to his automobile, still left the scene and crashed a shorter length absent just before seeking to flee the scene.

The statement mentioned “multiple officers canvassed the area” and arrested Batson, who was seeking to hide.

The officer and Batson were being taken to a regional healthcare facility for accidents they gained for the duration of the altercation.

Batson faces various prices, which the assertion did not element. The investigation is ongoing.

The Falcons claimed in a statement that they were “aware” of the incident “and are at the moment gathering details from legislation enforcement businesses.”

“We just take this make any difference very seriously and have no more comment at this time,” the staff stated.

Batson has expended the time on the Falcons’ observe squad. He played a mixed 27 game titles, including three starts, for Tennessee from 2018-21 but has not appeared in a video game with Atlanta. He has 22 profession receptions for 197 yards and 3 touchdowns.
